Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ContextGuard (the CLI, the dashboard at this site, and the associated API). By creating an account or using the CLI, you agree to them.

1. The service

ContextGuard is a CLI that audits Claude Code session transcripts already stored on your own machine, plus an optional dashboard that aggregates the numeric usage snapshots you choose to push to it. The dashboard requires an account; the CLI itself does not.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and API keys.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details — Stripe handles that directly. You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to abuse, brute-force, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or infrastructure that are not yours, and do not share your API keys publicly. We may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe are being used this way.

5. No warranty

The service is provided “as is.” Cost estimates are estimates based on published pricing tables, not an invoice, and may not match your actual bill from Anthropic or any other provider. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ContextGuard is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

7. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time, and delete your account yourself from the Account page in the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
